Students can combine a Columbia MBA with one of 10 other professional degrees such as law, engineering, medicine, international affairs, or social work. In general, a dual degree requires one year fewer than it would take to pursue the two degrees separately.

Following this course of study, a student will be awarded the LLB degree from LSE (typically, in the summer after their first year at Columbia); and the Columbia Law School JD, which will be equivalent to the standard 3-year JD for professional entry purposes in the US. Medical students begin the MBA program in the January after their major clinical year or during the Differentiation and Integration portion of the MD program. They are required to take their first two business school terms (spring and summer) consecutively and then have the option to continue straight through and finish their third business school term in the fall, or return to medical school.
